On Tuesday 28 February, we celebrated World Book Day with everyone dressing up as their favourite book character. The children had an exciting day working with books, occasionally being interrupted by bells signalling DEAR (Drop Everything And Read!) to raise the profile of reading! The children thoroughly enjoyed a writing workshop from our visiting author, Kerry Gibb and enjoyed visiting the Book Fair too. The whole school got involved dressing up, including, teachers, learning assistants, midday supervisors, office staff and even the kitchen staff! Thank you to everyone for making such an effort and thank you to the HTSA for helping to run our Book Fair, we raised over £1300 to spend on books.
