Working Party

School Grounds Tidy Up: Saturday 4 March 2017 9:00 – noon. Over the last three years we have organised a weekend event for parents, staff and governors to work together to tidy up our school grounds and complete projects. Most recently that has included: new pond area, raised flower beds and lots of planting.

Over 30 parents, staff and governors along with children came  armed with secateurs, garden forks, spades, rakes and wheelbarrows to tidy up some of our key areas and we achieved so much in a short space of time. This is what we achieved:

  • Weeded flower beds at the front of the school with fresh compost.
  • Weeded and tidied KS1 vegetable beds.
  • Created a compost bin out of old palettes.
  • Cleared the area next to the HTSA shed  ready to create a vegetable bed.
  • Painted the House Team wall.
  • Tidied the willow on the living Willow Dome and willow bed.
  • Topped up the Early Years Area with bark chippings and logs
  • Removed the leaves from the pond and tidied up the area.
  • Enjoyed lovely refreshments: bacon and omelette rolls, biscuits, tea and coffee.
  • Tidied the PTA sheds.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped out it was hard work but fun.
