Covid-19

COVID-19

It’s amazing how suddenly things that seemed important are no longer a priority as we all face the impact of Coronavirus together! I hope you are all keeping well and making the best of this strange time. I am sure there will be many families facing very stressful times: the worry of losing jobs, loss of income and anxiety about the health of loved ones. There will also be the immense challenge of supporting your children at home whether you are still working or not. You are all in our prayers.

Holy Trinity staff have worked hard to ensure that our children feel reassured at this unsettling time, whilst at the same time providing quality learning for the children to complete at home.  I have heard so many positive comments from parents who have valued the regular contact through SeeSaw and appreciated the creative learning opportunities that teachers have been setting. Please contact the school office if you have any questions about the ‘home learning’.

Whilst we are on 'lockdown' we will continue to encourage children to do something daily and recommend structure and routine, but we also appreciate the need to be flexible and know that there will be times for families to put home learning aside and just ‘be’. The well-being of the whole family is so important, and teachers do not want to add extra stress, so do what you feel is right for your family

As ever, the health and safety of our children and staff remain our top priority. Please be aware that this is a rapidly changing situation and that whilst the displayed information is accurate at the time of posting we would recommend that parents monitor the situation by checking the official websites regularly for any updates and changes.

The importance of hygiene

Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19. Staff tell the children to wash their hands every day and soap / hand sanitiser gel is available in all classrooms. We reinforce the importance of sneezing into a tissue / our elbows to catch our sneezes and avoid touching our eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. Please help us in sharing simple and effective hygiene messages at home. Sanitiser is given to all visitors at reception before entry to the school. The school is cleaned on a daily basis.
