Recommended reading lists
Here are some websites with recommended booklists for each year. These lists are intended as a guide to books suitable for children in Key Stage 2. Covering a range of genres, the lists are drawn from a number of sources including teachers’ own recommendations; suggestions by respected authors; reading lists suggested by other schools and the National Literacy’s Trust’s website. Please bear in mind that these books should be chosen carefully, as some texts may be more difficult to read than others. To gauge whether it is suitable or not, your child should be able to read a page with 2, 3 unknown words.
