Eco Warriors

Since autumn 2010 Holy Trinity C of E Primary School has had a group of KS2 pupils as Eco Warriors. Each class elects a representative who takes their ideas to half termly meetings.

The Eco-Warriors have an active role in school. They raise awareness about sustainability and encourage everyone to be good at recycling and saving energy. They encourage good habits for the future. The Eco Warriors have led the school towards becoming an Eco-School. We currently hold the Silver Eco School Award and we are working towards achieving the Green Flag.

Our Ongoing Projects:

Recycling: Ensuring bins in school are clearly labeled and used correctly.

Saving energy: A Power Savers initiative to encourage pupils to save energy by turning off lights in empty classrooms, switch off computer equipment at the end of the day and close doors to conserve heat.

Care for the environment: Each class has a rota of volunteers who collect litter on site on a weekly basis.
